MISSION STATEMENT

The Marshall - Harrison County Literacy Council will provide free, individualized, student-centered instruction to residents of Harrison County to address the problems of adult illiteracy in a safe and confidential environment.

Trained volunteer tutors will focus on serving students with low literacy and/or limited English-language skills.

Instructional services of Adult Basic Education and English as Second Language will stess practices and skills for students in order to strenghthen the ability of families to function more effectively in everyday life.
